She was born in Bulgaria, but Isabel Russinova claimed her fame as an Italian actress, making her debut in the film Si ringrazia la regione Puglia per averci fornito I milanesi (1982), quite possibly one of the longest titles on Mr. Skin, and translated as We thank the Puglia region for providing us with the Milanese. The hot blonde made her skinematic premiere as Cora in Noi uomini duri (1987), aka We tough men, stripping off her shirt for an outdoor shower and proving small but pert and perky can be quite lovely to look at. Though she made the bulk of her films in Italy, she did venture further afield to take a gig in the German film Momo(1986), with an appearance by John Huston; and American audiences might recognize her in My First Forty Years (1987) with Carol Alt and Elliot Gould, or from Venetian Red (1989) with Vincent Spano. In Italy, she’s known for playing Tulac in Tex and the Lord of the Deep (1985); both Wilma Cerulli and Maria Papetti in Il commissario lo Gatto (1986), or Commissioner of Gatto; as Francesca in Rimini Rimini – Un anno dopo (1988), aka Rimini Rimini – One year later, complete with a sexy silky little number; playing Uba in La ragazza di Cortina (1994), aka The girl from Cortina; Andromaca in L’ultimo re (2009), or The Last King; and as Zeza in L’inredible storia della signora del terzo piano (2022), or The incredible story of the lady from the third floor.
